My First Album (Instrumental)
I'm on Youtube as well
On this beautiful Palm Sunday afternoon, I feel led to write about something that is crucial to every Christian’s life. Through conversations with friends, family, associates, etc. I am noticing many Christians are not fully aware of who they are. It is almost common to hear, “everybody is a sinner” or “I am no saint.” For the longest time, I was victim to this as well. The truth is, many of us do not know our true identities. Some even believe everyone sins every day, but since we have God’s grace, we can pray for forgiveness before we sleep, and when we wake up. Not to step on anyone’s shoes, but that is man’s wisdom & experience, and not at all of God. I do not want you to take my word for this, so let me show you what God says about you.
1 John 3:4-10 - Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s[b] seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.
There are more scriptures in Colossians, Romans, and so on that show a Child of God is NOT a sinner. “Holier than Thou” is a phrase from the Devil to discourage those who are genuine in their walk with Christ. It is a phrase used to make a Christian RELATE with the rest of the world rather than CHANGE the rest of the world. “Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” is not at all a mental exercise/effort. It is strictly a notion of faith, showing God you want to submit your life to Him. Having a relationship with God does not mean you will never have trials and tribulations ever again, but it means you are empowered to conquer them. If you are born again, know that God is WITH you at ALL times. Please, do not dilute Jesus dying on the cross, by selling your value short. Please understand you can improve your walk as soon as today. God never said it would be hard for us to give up ourselves to Him, so why do we make it out to be? Letting go of old ways does not have to take years, months, or days…so why do we make it out to be? If the second coming is unknown even to man, then God surely made it possible for man to fully submit to Him in the same day. Old things pass, all things new can be a reality, but only if you want it to be. Don’t let the Devil talk you out of your identity. “Repent for your sins” is not crying to God like a day-time tv soap opera. Repentance is simply a revelation that forever changes the way you think about something, that’s all.
Another identity crisis issue I have noticed over the years is some of us feeling “we are not worth it.” Let’s think on something. 1 Corin 7:23 says “God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world.” If we were not worth it, would He have paid the price? Some think redemption is just church language to say we are going to Heaven, when really it means we are restored back to the original value of our creation (Adam & Eve before the fruit on the tree). Science has given you the studies and findings, of a fallen man, not a born again man. Grace does not give you free passage to stay the same as you are. Once again, this is not to show you have a long way to go, nor does it mean I’m far ahead of you. In fact, I’m speaking to the value I know you were created to be.
Not to get off topic, but never become self righteous towards other believers AND unbelievers. Do not become high minded where you discourage people from ever taking Jesus and the Gospel seriously. Unbelievers do not take Christianity seriously because they feel alienated rather than welcomed. They are bombarded with your fears of Hell to the point you make Devil sound just like the Boogyman bedtime stories…and most-to-all bed time stories are Fiction…so, it’s no secret why people choose to never come. Instead of telling someone who does not believe in God they are going to Hell, give them some food, a hug, and tell them God loves them with NO STRINGS ATTACHED.
The shedding of Jesus’s blood REMOVED your sin, and that’s the ONLY thing that can remove your sin. Once your sin is removed and you become that new creature, let go of anger, complaints, gossips, and whatever that can lead you back to sin. If you hear a voice in your head telling you “you just can’t make these changes overnight,” ask yourself is that God or the Devil talking to you? I’ll give you a hint, Bible says you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. If you’re born again, that does mean He’s in you, right lol? You are empowered to have a new and great perspective on life which enables you to never have a bad day again. That may seem like a reach to some, but to the people who are following me this far, Did Jesus think it was a bad day to shed is blood for us? I normally don’t write this much for blog post, but I know this will positively affect the lives of others, and encourage those who are walking for Christ. Take more private time to pray to God in secret away from others. Take more time to learn about Him, and build your relationship with Him. Know that He is ordering your steps, and He loves you. It is NOT His will for you to be angry, depressed, ashamed, and most of all deceived. Not every affliction on your life is demonic, sometimes things happen, and no matter what, God deserves genuine praise. Not a forced praise, but a genuine loving praise because you don’t love your own life onto death. It’s not about you and your breakthroughs, or you and your blessings. Know your value, my friends.
Easter is next Sunday, and I feel many of us should know the truth behind the Cross. I’m not going to sit back and assume preachers will reveal this next Sunday, when I am empowered to touch those who are willing to read. So even if they don’t preach about this, you can still be fed. People can become very cynical about post like these, and that’s fine. There is nothing wrong with them, and they should not be looked at any less. Remember, there was a time when you yourself didn’t believe, even when it was placed blatant in your face, and God did not love you any less. No one is higher than anyone else, we all have a created value, and some take longer to find this out. It should be your desire for them to find out before you get that new gadget you’ve been praying for. I hope this can bless someone this week, and free someone of living in bondage. I hope someone can get their rightful identity back, and fearlessly live for God from here on. Be daring this week. Do not be afraid of dark places, because you have a light in you that can illuminate those places. Be blessed, and take care.

This article is geared more towards black Christians, and anyone who is suffering any type of oppression. Over the weekend, we witnessed yet another murder trial of a young black man being killed by an older white man. Before I go any further, there is one truth I want to make known. You CAN NOT be a child of God, and a victim of racism at the same time. I also want to make it known, I am not condemning anyone in this article, but just shedding some light in an area that seems dim to me. Now I know many alarms are ringing in every reader’s head, but hear me out. It is not of God nor His will for anyone to die before the age of seventy or eighty, which can be found in Psalm 90:10. We are not to confuse the evil that happens in the world to others as God ordained. So if you are truly a child of God (by behavior, and not entitlement), you are covered by His love, thus removing you from being a victim of racism. Notice I am not stating racism does not exist because God exist. Notice I am not saying if you go to church and sensationalize a religion, you will be protected. I am simply saying, you can not be a child of the greatest love, and believe the hate of the world can touch you. To say otherwise would only mean Christ died in vain. Prayers by faith (not fear), with knowledge of His word will keep you strong. This is not arrogance, this is the truth for all believers. The problem is, many christians have conditioned themselves with false truths before they got saved, and never took the time to detox from world truths. They are saved spiritually with carnal vision, and speaking from experience, that is a painful place to be in. We (It’s a struggle for me too) can go back and forth on social media about how angry we are with this case, or we can believe in the truth that is written about us. There is no favoritism with God (Acts 10:34), so in His eyes we all have equal opportunities to go far beyond any route. Not to hype any of you up, but you do not have to look like your employer to have a position above him. This is one of the LIES of racism we have adopted, and it completely contradicts the Word of God. Let me remind all of you, no matter what you see on the idiotbox, it does not change what God has already written about you. Too many black people believe in white oppression over God’s truth for their lives. Many of us try to look like our employers to appeal to them, in order to get the job we want. Now I am not at all promoting dressing like a hoodlum for a job interview, but just stating, it’s how you look before God that truly matters. God is love, racism is hate, would it not be a contradiction to be a child of one, but a victim to the other? How would people know you’re the child of the king of all kings, if YOU believe acts of racism can happen to you? We serve a God that promises to establish us, AND protect us from evil (2 Thessalonians 3:3). I can go on about how the two do not mix, but I don’t want you to lose focus of the main point. You need to drop these false truths instead of reacting to these truths with your own understanding. Why react to something you’re not part of? So, I hope anyone reading this was blessed doing so. If you feel this can help someone, please share.
Many of us grew up believing fictional characters such as Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, or the Easter Bunny were as real as ourselves. We didn’t question how an obese white man could fit down a chimney, or get into our apartment without making a sound. We never wondered how a tiny fairy could lift our pillows to exchange our baby teeth for money. As kids, we just believed by carrying out what was required for these characters to visit us. We could all agree that we did a lot more than say we believed in them. In fact, we would do the most just to show it. Kids are the best examples to use when it comes to meeting the criteria of believing. They don’t discourage themselves by gauging results beforehand, but instead they follow the directions and move forth. When it comes to believing in God, can most of us say we are believing, or unbelieving?
Now if you were to ask any Christian do they believe in God, the expected response would probably be “yes, of course I do!” However, verbally saying you believe does not validate your belief, but what you do to SHOW you believe does. Many mistake “if you believe and do not doubt, then you will receive what you asked for in prayer” as a totally conscious effort, while it is actually a subconscious effort. Your subconscious mind is incapable of lying simply because it is your heart. This part of your mind presents things to your conscious to either accept it or decline it, while the former can only accept. So if you have that moment to decline what’s in your heart, you my friend are unbelieving. Now I know some reading may have a few educated questions such as “What if my heart believes in the wrong things, or has many false truths?” or “How can my heart believe in something it has never seen or experienced?” or “How can I truly change something that is rooted in me, and defines who I am?” In the next few paragraphs I will answer each question to the best of my ability.
1) What if my heart believes in the wrong things, or has many false truths? I can honestly say I’ve been here for a good portion of my own life. It is in fact a struggle to take on a new belief that contradicts your current beliefs. In fact the older we get, the harder it generally becomes to truly believe new ideas to us. When people are in church, and the preacher says things they like and want to hear, it is easy for everyone to scream “amen!” However, excitement does not provoke change, but it places you in a fantasy-based state of mind. However when the excitement wears off, your true feelings will surely resurface. Many have adapted and accepted this, coining the term “it is what it is.” However, we have the ability to overwrite new truths and ideas over old truths. In order to do this, we have to physically practice the new truth until it becomes a habit. The duration will vary from each individual depending on circumstance, truth, and determination. Once this becomes a habit, your natural response will become a truth to you. This is the only way we can truly believe and not doubt when we pray for things. One can dare to ask God to help their unbelief to shorten that duration, but your belief must fully be intact in order for ALL your prayers to be answered. The best way to test your belief is to observe not only the words you say, but the actions you make, in regards to what you are praying for.
2) How can my heart believe in something it has never seen or experienced? The best way to get your heart to believe in this is to claim this by faith. Ask God for the vision of what you want, and ask for the strength to hold onto that vision at all cost. If you managed to get over the hurdle of detoxing yourself of false truths, this hurdle will be a lot easier. The best truth to have in you is God answers those who come to Him first. Another good way to believe in these things is to surround yourself with people who have had miraculous things happen for them, and make it your desire to be a witness to increase your own faith. If you are bold enough, make it your desire to be a partaker with them. Once you can see something spiritually, you can & will obtain it physically.
3) How can I truly change something that is rooted in me, and defines who I am? Depending on our backgrounds, some of us may have lodged the wrong things in us, thus making us feel stagnant in different areas of our lives. However, the Bible does say “my people perish because lack of knowledge.” The more knowledge you fill yourself up with what God says about you, rather than your own perceptions, you will go further than even who you call the best. You need to change yourself before anything. Environment does play a major role, but truthfully you must change how you respond and handle things in order for those false truths to uproot themselves.
The truth is, you have a choice from the moment you wake up how the day will go for you personally. Despite the unknown, it is your choice to stay committed to that choice you made. If you let situations determine your mood, the truth is you don’t truly believe in the choice you made when you woke up. This is a hard pill to swallow, and even I don’t like hearing it, but it’s the truth. For me personally, this is still an ongoing journey and I am still making progress. Many of us do not like to admit we do not truly believe in the things we want to happen for us. However, God knows our hearts, which like Him can not lie. If our hearts confess something contrary to our lips, then our speech is unfruitful, and that of a lie. I’m all for physical edification, people having nice things, traveling to different parts of the world for pleasure, but if you do not believe this will happen for you, don’t lie to yourself. Instead, take the time to build yourself up to that level of belief. If we don’t have the patience to do that, then it is our problem, and not God’s. So I want to close with the question: Which side of the fence are you on?
I am sitting in a room with my wife, simply thankful. I am thankful to not only fly past six awesome months of marriage. Thankful to wake up to the bills being paid, and thankful for having great friends who not only pray for my family, but call to check up on us. Things may not be exactly where I pictured, and desire at this point, but I am thankful to be reminded of all the great people/things I still have. Most of all, I am thankful for God waking me up each day. I will never take this for granted, because many die in their sleep every day. It is easy to feel as if nothing is going right for you, but I want to let you all know it’s just an illusion. If you are alive today, then the game clock is still running. Some of you may not start winning till the 2nd half, and to be brutally honest…that’s where it matters most. I am victim (and i’m pretty sure most of us are) of wanting to win out the gate, and finish winning at the same time. While this can happen for any of us, we have to understand patience is a prerequisite in order to attain your goals. Instead of asking God for your miracle, try planning your miracle with God. God will give you what you asked for, but if your actions show no urgency (I’m victim of this too), can you really expect Him to work on the time you simply imagined? Jesus said you shall have what you believe you prayed for, not what you imagined. Don’t get me wrong, imagination is VERY powerful, but in order for it to become a reality, it has to be transformed into a belief (which is like lifting a 200lb dumbbell with your pinky). So with that, I wish all of you a safe holiday. Thank God for everything you have, and continue to aspire to greater heights.
Disclaimer: If you’re easily offended, this is your last chance to leave.
Social media does not kill relationships, but lack of good judgement does, and always will. I have heard on countless occasions, how social media can ruin or kill your relationships. This is about as ridiculous as person claiming guns kill people. I grow tired of seeing people get upset at Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any outlet “destroying their relationship.” If the person you was with was a cheater, then they would have cheated on you without the assistance of social media. Stop blaming inanimate objects for your lack of judgement, or the person you was with. Call a spade a spade and say the person who cheated on you is worthless. Social media platforms are environments (cyber environments, but environments nonetheless), and you need to mind your surroundings at all times. If you treat being on Facebook as if you’re walking through the hood, you will have a lot less problems.
Where do I even begin? I am at a loss of words when it comes to this game called “Knockout”, that is commonly known in Jersey City. According to the news report, the object of the game is to knock a random person out. The target can be anyone including women and children. The participants are black teenage males (to my knowledge), and they do not see anything wrong with their game.
First off, WHERE ARE THE PARENTS!? Seriously, good parenting would not have allowed this to become an epidemic. This may offend people, but I would not feel any sympathy if one these kids got shot trying to play this game. To top it off, I better not hear anyone on any social network platform scream injustice. I better not see the parents come out the woodworks crying and saying their son was a good kid who never got into trouble. Anyone reading this should know, if you swing your fist on someone on the street, you better expect anything to go down. I am livid to see a woman get randomly punched in her face & knocked unconscious by a MALE! Black people you wonder why other races don’t like us right? Ya’ll are quick to get mad when a stranger corrects your kid, because you failed to teach them good behaviors. I am pissed at the fact my facebook timeline will talk about white teens black facing, but will not even mention acts like this. I really hope they try to punch a trained martial artist, and they receive broken bones as their punishment. We will never grow from being oppressed if we fail to correct the issues we commonly face. The fact these kids sees nothing wrong in their actions is a problem, and we need more adults stepping into the lives of these kids.
Share this article with everyone. This can happen anywhere, not just Jersey.
There are quite a few dangers to cyber bullying many of us either do not think about, or do not feel it can happen to anyone in our circle. Although cyber bullying is more commonly seen in adolescent teens, it is also seen in adulthood as well. Cyber bullying is very real, especially on social networking platforms like Youtube, Facebook, & Twitter. The effects of cyber bullying can lead to anxiety, depression, and in some cases suicide. Some people may read this and feel people need to be tougher and remember it’s just the internet. We can not assume the person on the other end is not taking the shots made seriously, especially if we do not know what they may be going through outside the net. I’ve seen anxiety amongst people I know when it comes to cyber bullying, and they are very defensive people to anything that looks like a shot at them. I have also seen depression with celebrities because Twitter gives the general public the platform to directly contact who they follow. There have been cases where people were harassed so much, they decided to take their own lives.
We have to be mindful a cyber environment can be just as real to a physical environment to the human brain. We have to be mindful some people are not built to be as strong as we perceive ourselves to be. It is not ethical to expect everyone to have the same comfort level as ourselves. Especially since the internet is a global service, and not a national service.Trolling can be fun and addicting, but it causes more strife than actual laughs between both parties. As I have came across reports of how many people really suffer from cyber bullying, it makes me want to stop trolling altogether. I know for myself, I do not want to be a reason why someone can not function correctly, let alone commit suicide.
So I was discussing something with a friend yesterday, and I want to bring forth this subject to facebook. I will first ask the question, and follow up with my response, and let you guys discuss after.
Question: In regards to child naming, are names like Laquisha, Shaniqua, Daeshawn, etc. bad names to name your children? Why or Why Not?
My Response: My response to this is no because, the name of the child does not determine the actions of the child, but rather the upbringing of that child. We have engraved a belief, since these names are not common Americanized names, they are deemed bad. In my conversation I stated, we as a whole assume people with these names will never be able to get a great job, and will more than likely not go far in life. To quote my friend “last time I checked, a ghetto was a place, and not a character trait.” So I want the question: Do we subject ourselves to conformity out of fear to what everyone else may think or feel? My answer is yes. The name does not decide the actions, or the destiny of a child. Yes, we all know racism is alive and strong. HOWEVER, if your defense is to play by the rules that breed oppression, are you really battling racism, or are you contributing to it? So instead of putting down people with these names, we (myself included) should actually uplift these children. You never know, you may be that one person that can make them believe they can go far in life. One should never feel barred or at a disadvantage because of his or her name, especially if they live in the same community.
To everyone who has been following my music. “99 Cent Teas and Donuts” is delayed indefinitely. I am taking time to work on 3 duo projects, one of which is already in production. The name of this project is called “Ellipsis” and it shall feature raps from B. Pic and beats by yours truly. No features are confirmed as of yet, but if you want a moment to shine, you should hit us up now in these stages. I urge you to hop on the bandwagon now while it’s empty. To any producers that are interested in co-producing a track let me know as well. Lastly, we need a dope studio in the NYC area. Let us know what’s good!
I have been thinking about this subject for a few weeks, and now I can firmly say in my opinion television killed education. Too many people will rely on television as their primary source of information. It is more common for people to enjoy rapid sound bites of information, rather than sitting down and fully comprehending information. Do you remember when you was a child, rushing through your homework in order to watch TV before school? If you was like me, do you remember getting easy questions wrong because you skimmed through information? In college, did it seem like climbing The Alps to thoroughly study the material? Perhaps you were like me, and crammed the night before for most of your exams. If television holds more value than reading to you, perhaps television was a core value in your childhood. However, you can change this about yourself swiftly if you are willing.
Let me Explain:
When you are reading information, you have the opportunity to challenge what you have read, or your own understanding. I firmly believe, people do not like reading on their own time, because it takes work to become interested in the book, versus a television grabbing television attention. It requires work to discipline yourself for hours to read and comprehend literature. Especially when you are not being graded, and you have things you would rather watch on tv. If you suffer from this (I still do, you’re not alone), try to make it a point to read every single day. If you want to exercise the hashtag “#NoDaysOff”, practice that with reading literature. If you’re a Christian, you should read your Bible every day. Many of us don’t read every day because we view reading as “a boring thing to do.” In order to change this belief, we have to develop a habit of reading everyday. Once this becomes a habit, you will find reading to be more enjoyable.
The big monster in the closet with Halloween is should Christians participate with this celebration? Is it innocent for children to dress up as cartoon characters, going door to door asking for candy? Is there any real danger with celebrating this holiday? Do you believe spiritual warfare can be an issue even when it is just a costume party? I shall answer each question one by one.
Christians should not celebrate Halloween for a number of reasons. For one the common theme is glorifying deathly ideas as children, and sexual lust as an adult. To the Christians out there, it may be true there is no direct verse mentioning the word “Halloween” in the Bible. However it is alluded in 1 cor 10:21 “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.” As fellow Christians the purpose of this article is to encourage and correct with love. You may be able to say, “what I wear on Halloween is not evil, nor does it define me”, however would God be wrong to judge you and accuse you of conforming to World? To defend something where the foundation is black magic & witchcraft in line with “For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.” (John 3:20). It may appear to be innocent for children to celebrate this while they are young. However, there are many dangers that are to follow this if you do so. For one, you are creating a foundation in their youth to feel this is okay, and you are encouraging them early to follow the crowd, which again, our Bible forbids. Also, their costumes normally follows this cycle: cartoon characters, something scary, something sexy. Most of all, you already created a grey area for them at a very young age about the Bible. Your kids can still have candy, and you can dress them up anytime during the year if you want to see them in costumes, that in itself is not the issue. The issue is kids not knowing early what is right and wrong in the eyes of God, because we feel as though we are depriving them of their childhood by not allowing them to experience Trick or Treating even once. If you are a Christian family, trust me, your children will thank you for it as they grow in Christ. Lastly I want to touch on spiritual warfare. The origin of this holiday stems from druidic rituals, in which they called out evil spirits from a spiritual gate. The old doctrine was basing this off lost souls that didn’t go to heaven nor hell, but remained in “Purgatory”. When Purgatory was refuted, these “ghost” were deemed as evil spirits. So spirits need a host to do their dirty work right? If everyone is wearing a mask, wouldn’t that be the perfect day for the devil and his demons to run the earth? Food for thought.
Lastly, I would like to address our main opponent is television. As I was researching scriptures for this article I came across something that gave me chills. 2 Cor 4:4 says “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” If this is not referring to television in 2013, I do not know what is. I wish you all a safe day.
For quite some time, I felt stagnant in my career, and to extent stagnant in all of my other strengths as well. I would do my best not to share this with many, because I didn’t have the answer as to why I never felt inspired. I felt as if I was running into a brick wall repeatedly, and was going no where fast. It wasn’t until about a week ago after praying, and just laying back and clearing my mind of everything where I figured out my problem. I was scared to be great. As crazy as that sounds, I was scared of actually going into full throttle with ALL my strengths, because I was consumed with the fear of failure.
From that moment, I’ve made the choice I’m going to do my best to live as a positive example for not only my wife, family, friends, but anyone who takes the time to observe my life. I challenge anyone reading this to do the same. I challenge you to challenge yourself and do the very things you feel inadequacy towards. Being great is a mantle we all have the opportunity to take, but many of us feel we are not deserving. We are all deserving to be happy, and we are all deserving of living a life of true freedom. The fact you were able to wake up today is a blessing. The fact you are able to read this post is a privilege. You can be a great in this life time, but it will only happen if you challenge yourself. Prepare yourself for the pruning process that goes along with this. You will have to let go of old habits that will hold you back. You may have to let a few friends go who will voice nothing but doubts your way. You will need to challenge yourself daily to emotionally crush those doubts you have in yourself. Most of all, you have to remember God will only assist you when you obey Him.
If life is hard right now, do not let that stop you. Every season has it’s share of storms, and every season has sunshine. FACT: Your beliefs manifest your environment, and they will determine where you will go in life. This is not my opinion, but this is spiritual law. Jesus said to his disciples “It is done unto you as you believe.” Not only does this prove what you believe shall come to pass, but this means you must move as if there is not a doubt in your mind. There is a huge difference between believing in what you want to happen, and thinking about what you want to happen. Thinking is purely passive, and requires no sort of action to be implemented. Believing is actively putting into action those thoughts with the backing of faith.
